Colder winds and flying leaves herald the return of autumn in Forza Horizon 4. Activities at the festival may be slowing down, but players will continue to scramble for the latest rewards.
This week there is another opportunity to get your hands on a rather controversial Porsche, as well as other prizes for 50% and 80% completion of the festival playlist.
Speed and performance
There’s a season car that’s worth driving after this week: the 2019 McLaren Speedtail.
The Speedtail is designed to revive the spirit of the longtail McLaren F1 and surpass the P1 as the ultimate McLaren flagship. Not content with reviving the central driving position and three-seater layout of the F1, McLaren has also made the Speedtail its fastest, most powerful road car ever. Under this slippery body sits a 4.0-liter V8 with twin turbocharging, which is coupled to a hybrid system with 1,035 hp. Find a long enough straight and the Speedtail will reach 250 mph.
There’s a new Horizon Backstage Pass if you’re looking for a car that you didn’t pick up from the festival.
The latest Photo Challenge is all about light and Lamborghinis. #LightUpMyLambo wants you to jump into your favorite raging bull and snap a picture at the lighthouse outside of Bamburgh.
The seasonal championship prize pool in autumn includes the Lamborghini Veneno and a 2013 Mercedes E63.
Up for grabs is the 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS. Often seen as the sweet spot in the Cayman range, the GTS offers improved performance without breaking into the territory of the hardcore GT4. The 718 Cayman courted controversy by replacing the atmospheric six-cylinder for a turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four. Nevertheless, the output is up to 361 hp. Handling has also been improved to keep the Cayman at the top of its class.
To win the Cayman, you must win the Modern Age Championship.
A well-known Showcase Remix is also returning for the fall. Forest Sprite puts you in the driver’s seat of an Austin Healey Sprite for a race through the woods against a team of motocross bikes.

Forzathon shop
Mercedes is rumbling into the store this week with one of its most iconic cars in the spotlight.
Since the BMW M5 is rampaging on the sports sedan market, Mercedes sent a W124 E-Class to the tuning specialist AMG. What came out of it was a bat called “The Hammer”. This beefed up 300CE features a 6.0-liter V8 with an M5 punch of 379 horsepower, making it one of the fastest sedans of all time in the late 1980s. Despite the performance, the hammer is still an old school Mercedes, with handling more like a muscle car.
The hammer is quite reasonable with 299 Forzathon points, but you get an AMG Merc, which is still used as a template for its modern successor.
If you want more rowdiness and take little care of your tires, there is the Ford RS200 Evolution. This particular version of Ford’s Group B monster has been reworked by Hoonigan.
Hoonigan takes the already insane RS200 and has tuned the 2.1-liter turbo engine to a dizzying 750 hp. The gearbox is an upgraded six-speed sequential gearbox that allows for higher speeds, while the suspension has been completely redesigned for better handling as well as tire shredding.
At 101FP, the RS200 is a bargain and will surely put on a smoking show if you choose to show off your gymkhana skills.
New items include the Disco Chicken Suit and the Halo Theme Horn.
