The McLaren F1 is arguably the most important supercar of the 1990s. There is a chance to own a pristine example with just 240.5 miles on the clock at Gooding and Company’s Pebble Beach auction in August. The seller estimates it will likely cost over $ 15 million.
This is chassis 029, the 25th McLaren F1 delivery. The body is in the unique color Creighton Brown. Inside, the upholstery is a mix of light brown and dark brown leather.

A buyer in Japan was the first owner. This person serviced the car but rarely drove the McLaren. The machine then went to an American who was rarely on the road with the F1.
It’s rare enough to see a McLaren F1 for sale, but this one comes with all the accessories to make this a truly complete example. It has all of the original luggage that fits into a panel on the side of the body. The rare TAG Heuer watch and gold-colored titanium toolkit are also included. The auction also includes a FACOM tool box with cut foam, which offers a place for each piece. Even the original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires still wrap around the wheels.
The F1 is already an icon. It uses a mix of materials that are still exotic today, such as carbon fiber, kevlar, titanium and gold foil. A 6.1-liter V12 from BMW, mounted in the middle, has an output of 618 hp (461 kilowatts) and runs through a six-speed manual transmission. On a sufficiently long closed route, the maximum speed is over 200 miles per hour.
With less than 10 miles traveled every year since it was first shipped, it’s hard to imagine a McLaren F1 as immaculate as this one. We can’t wait to see how much this brings in at auction in August.
