Kevin Turner is the editor-in-chief of Autosport. While studying history at the University of York, Kevin worked as a freelance reporter for Autosport and Motorsport News covering UK club events. He joined Autosport in 2006 as an editorial assistant for the magazine and won the award now known as Motorsport UK Young Journalist of the Year. He became National Editor in 2008 and covered a number of international events over the next few seasons, including the Le Mans 24 Hours, the British Touring Car Championship and the British GT. Kevin became Features Editor before moving to Motorsport News editing in 2014.
He returned to Autosport in 2016 to become editor of the magazine, a dream job that is still part of his role.
He became editor-in-chief in 2020 and helped plan content for autosport.com and Autosports podcast, as well as keeping track of the magazine through the coronavirus pandemic. Kevin also led work on Autosport’s 70th Anniversary special and has been a judge on Aston Martin Autosport’s BRDC Young Driver Award, formerly known as the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, since 2008. He lives in Fleet with his wife and two children.
