The team is releasing a unique series of racing memorabilia. RBR’s digital collectibles journey begins with a limited edition Mexican GP helmet recommended by its top speed racer, Sergio “Checo” Pérez Mendoza.
Ten thousand unique helmets will be released as NFTs days before the next Mexico Grand Prix.
To commemorate this release, Red Bull Racing will discard the tokens associated with the elements of Checo’s suit design as presented at today’s Mexico City Show Run.
Tezos is solidifying as a major player in the NFT market
Christian Horner, CEO and Principal of Red Bull Racing, said his team’s vision is aligned with that of the red-hot NFT segment:
Red Bull Racing has always been at the forefront of innovation and technology, both on and off the track, and our first set of digital collectibles continues that tradition thanks to partners like Tezos.
As previously reported by U.Today, Tezos has already launched and supported a number of NFT initiatives from world-class “real-world” brands. It is one of the starting partners of Behance’s climate-neutral NFT program.
It also operates the new digital collector’s market Hic et Nunc.
