Although the Finn has 92 points from nine races this season, he wasn’t as impressive as in previous seasons. In fact, Bottas is 12 points behind Lando Norris in the drivers’ standings, which nobody expected at the beginning of the season.
His fighting has put his Mercedes seat in jeopardy and Williams driver George Russell is waiting in the wings. The Briton impressed many with his performances so far and almost scored points in both races in Austria.
