Hamilton could have pushed himself to the limit all season as long as he had an intense battle with Max Verstappen. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, however, he had to compete against his former McLaren teammate.
F1 reporters Sam Collins and Will Buxton also commented on the fight. Buxton said, “That was magic,” Collins said, “It was like the old master imposing the manners on the young horse.” Buxton soon responded by saying, “But they’re both the old masters now.” As their fight went on , Buxton added: “And Lewis is trying to move around the outside of turn four, no one can do that at turn 4,” added Collins, “especially Fernando Alonso,” “Elbows out, I loved it and it was fair , probably fair,” concluded Buxton.

After seeing Alonso’s move, Russell said, “Squeezed him nice there,” added his Canadian teammate, “Any other track he would have gone right past; this is Budapest.”

How did the race go for Lewis?
Hamilton pushed his limits as he tried to get past the Spaniard. In the end he was able to overtake but finished the race in third place. It didn’t end there for the knight, however, as Sebastian Vettel was disqualified, resulting in the Mercedes driver being promoted to second place.
