The German automotive group has just presented the Vision EQXX concept car. It has the sleek look of a Batman ride with all the power of a racer, but most impressive is the efficient battery ready to cover you 1,000 kilometers or 620 miles on a single charge.
The project began 18 months ago, during which time the team developed an aerodynamic design with a drag coefficient of 0.17. The Mercedes EQS thus outperforms, which currently holds the title for the most efficient aerodynamic drag with a value of 0.20.

The Vision EQXX uses game engine technology to create a beautiful and incomparable user experience. The interior display runs in one piece from the driver’s side to the passenger window and appears to float freely in the air. Meanwhile, the graphics are second to none, evoking an interactive, three-dimensional map and more. There’s even an AI concierge in the car.
Light seats and a floating central tunnel reflect this design throughout the interior, which is made of sustainable materials such as bamboo fiber, Amsilk and Mylo. “Sensual purity” was the leitmotif, and this simplicity continues in the exterior design of the vehicle.
Head of Future Technologies Jasmin Eichler tells more about the creative process and the e-drive system that helped the car to be 95 percent efficient, a growth of around 20 percent from the current 75 percent.
