Pierre Gasly has improved a lot since he was last in the Red Bull seat – something Gasly knows the team recognizes. “I think there were discussions [Red Bull] I am very satisfied with my performance, but … you have made your decision. That was of course a bit of a disappointment for me, because that’s where I want to be, I want to have a fast car. “

With the Frenchman’s performance so far, there is no doubt that the fast car he longs for will soon be given to him.
Pierre Gasly in the second row
Gasly achieved his best qualifying result at Zandvoort. The last time he started P4 was in Baku this season; a race that put him on the podium. This is also the second season in a row that Pierre Sergio Perez ‘has overtaken Red Bull.
While Gasly was focused and posting great times on the timesheet, a P16 time eliminated Perez in Q3. An embarrassing achievement for the Red Bull team, which almost always has both cars in Q3.

The Frenchman also wants to be ahead of the game on Sunday with his Alpha Tauri. Gasly looked back on his weekend with pride in finishing ahead of both Ferraris. “To be honest, it was a really good afternoon for us… the car felt great in qualifying; I managed to find a little more time for qualifying and unbelievable – it’s really good for us to qualify before the two Ferraris. “

As the main event draws nearer, Gasly has a daunting task ahead of him. He had to prevail over the Bottas from Mercedes to get a chance of P3; while he also defends against both Ferraris behind him. While it’s not something Gasly can’t do, it will only add to the exciting Dutch GP that we are about to witness.
