Mercedes F1 Supremo Toto Wolff sells his Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team principal Toto Wolff is selling his Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series and it appears to be in excellent condition.

Mercedes-Benz presented the SL65 AMG Black Series at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, but before that, Wolff was actually one of the development drivers for the car and tested it on various racetracks, including the Nürburgring. After the market launch, Wolff bought one directly from HWA AG and has owned it ever since.

Only 350 examples of the SL65 AMG Black Series were produced worldwide. Wolff’s car is painted black, is currently in Switzerland and contains the operating instructions, bag, spare keys, a history and the original sales contract with Wolff.

Undoubtedly one of the most notable production cars ever built by the German automaker, this is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine complemented by two turbochargers, a remapped ECU and a bespoke exhaust system. The car has no less than 670 horsepower and can reach 100 km / h in just 3.8 seconds while sprinting to a top speed of 320 km / h.

Thanks to a widebody kit with exposed front and rear wheel arches, unique bumpers, a fixed top and a fixed rear wing, the SL65 AMG Black Series can be instantly distinguished from smaller models in the SL series.

Wolff’s car is sold by Tom Hartley Jnr and although the listing does not include a price, the car has only been driven 3,204 miles (5,156 km) so it should reach a fairly large sum.
