Mercedes F1 supports anti-Red Bull sentiment on social media after Tsunoda controversy

On Saturday, the Red Bull F1 team wasn’t particularly happy, especially after the Mercedes 1-2. This was because a mistake by Yuki Tsunoda left Sergio Perez a little unsettled and ruined his own lap. Because of the subsequent yellow flag, poor old Max Verstappen couldn’t drive a competitive final lap. In response, the Red Bull team boss mockingly said that they got “Tsunoda”.

This led some fans to criticize Red Bull on the social media website Twitter. To add more salt to their wounds, their heated rival Mercedes liked some of these fan mails.

Many fans weren’t happy that the Austrian team condemned Tsunoda so quickly. In fact, there were quite a few declarations that they would become Mercedes fans. Another fan said: “I think this qualifying showed the bad side of Red Bull. Horner teased ‘we have Tsunoda’d’. Max ‘stupid idiot’ towards his teammate. Max does not take pole and is bitter. “Well, I think P3 is better anyway”. There isn’t an ounce of grace among them. “

What can Mercedes and Red Bull do now?

At the moment, both teams are focused on their Mexican Grand Prix races. Red Bull will likely aim to save their reputation and smooth things over with their drivers. This is much more important to people like Yuki Tsunoda since he is still young and it is important not to demoralize him.

I can’t believe how toxic Red Bull is absolutely shocking to toss someone under the bus who isn’t your golden boy!

My heart goes out to @ yukitsunoda07 because that was absolutely shocking!

So much respect to @ MercedesAMGF1 for showing kind words of encouragement to Yuki

As he insisted, there was nothing more he could do. In a way, he was right because mistakes can happen in high pressure situations. In all fairness, Perez’s mistake was much bigger, especially since he was distracted by running over the AlphaTauri driver. However, the Mexican didn’t get too much heat from the team.
