Lewis Hamilton explains why he complained to Mercedes F1 on the radio

The fight for turn one was very exciting this season; there is often talk of more than the breed itself. And the Mexican Grand Prix was no different. With Max Verstappen behind the two Mercedes, it was assumed that the advantage would lie in the hands of the Silver Arrows. However, since braking is a crucial part of successful cornering, Lewis Hamilton found that the W12 couldn’t keep up with its rivals.

Although Valtteri Bottas may have botched his approach at Turn 1, Hamilton struggled with the corner all weekend. There were often problems with the braking system in the Mercedes, which were often blocked and off the track. After waving the yellow flag in the race, Hamilton could be heard complaining about the brakes in his Mercedes.

The defending champion later revealed his problems. “I was … twice in Turn 1 through practice, qualifying, suspensions, just our car, for some reason this weekend was pretty bad in this area.”

That wasn’t the best situation, especially when Mercedes took to the track at a disadvantage. “This is a special area where they are much stronger than we are, but when you put more stress on the car it helps, of course, but we couldn’t keep up with them this weekend in terms of wing adjustment.”

Lewis Hamilton is in the mood for a winning streak

Max Verstappen is now 19 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton. To make matters worse, Red Bull has caught up with its rivals in the last three races; Mercedes keeps Red Bull in check with one point. With both championships so close, Hamilton knows it’s time for the hammer.

Although the phenomenon of team favoritism courses has taken a minor blow, Brazil is a Red Bull Circuit. But Hamilton believes it is time to start collecting victories again. “Of course I feel like I have to win every race because we need those extra points so as not to lose those points and try to get them back.”

While Hamilton is now working up a sweat, Max Verstappen remains a cool cat who is not yet thrilled by the end result. “It is a long way. It looks good, of course, but it can also turn very quickly, but I’m looking forward to Brazil. I have very good memories there too. “

The championship is peaking and with four more races the excitement is at an all-time high. With a one-two in front of us, however, the last race of the season is quick and easy.
