He continues to inspire people with and without disabilities. Speaking on YouTube with Paralympian John Stubbs, Nicholas explains how he initially struggled with disability and how it affected his confidence around women.
Hamilton said, “When I was a kid growing up, I was always nervous about girls and how girls would perceive me or see me for my condition and I’m going to be totally open and honest, for me I was like if I could just lose my virginity once, that’s all I cared about at the time.”
Nicolas continued, “So I have a lot of able bodied parents come to me, the mum asked me you know what would he be like sort of being with a girl and having sex with a girl or whatever and I just pointed to my girlfriend, I love that I’ve got a girlfriend.”
He further added, “You know we’re happy together. Any issues that you feel you’d have in a relationship because of your disability, I think is irrelevant”
Nicholas Hamilton is yet to win a BTCC race in his career. However, he scored his first point in the tournament after finishing 15th at the final race at Brands Hatch in 2020.
