Formula 1 expects a chaotic start to the 2022 season

WWe are a month away from Montmelo winter testing ahead of the 2022 formula 1 season, but the sport is expecting a chaotic start to the new season.

There is a whole new set of rules for cars this season Carlos Sainz Jr Described the cars as difficult and different to drive after being in Ferrari simulator.

As with any new set of rules F1 will likely change from the previous turbo-hybrid era, but how much change to expect?

Ross Brawn will leave his post as sporting director at the SON before the end of the 2022 season, but expects a problematic start to the season.

“When we start there may be differences in performance as everyone will find different solutions.” brawn explained to the New York Times.

“The designers and engineers were relieved as they explored the possibilities and I suspect the cars will likely look a little different.”

However, the budget cap is another new measure that has caused consternation among teams in the paddock Mercedes boss Toto Wolff believes it will close the field.

“If a team finds a loophole and advances, everyone will copy it.” Wolff explained.

“I think the budget cap will balance a lot of things.

“In the first year there may still be differences, but after that it’s the same, there will no longer be a team that is a second ahead.”
