In a second such incident within a week, the German team posted another look at the new car on their social media. Only this time it was a photo instead of a video.
And instead of a fragmentary view of the car, this one had the whole car, but with a catch. The thing is, Mercedes posted the picture of the new car, but it was “in the shade”.

And although some clever fans tried to get a “clearer” look at the car by manipulating the technical characteristics of the image, all they could see was a 2022 mule F1 car with a few Mercedes logos on it.
So it’s safe to say that the video was a much clearer reference to the new car, or at least what it will sound like.
Shortly before Christmas, Mercedes had posted a video in which they started the engine of the 2022 car and revved it up. This immediately went viral when fans and experts wondered how to start the engine this early in the off-season.
Typically, teams start the engines in mid-February. Many speculated that it could be a PU by late 2021 or a prototype by early 2022. But as it turned out, it was actually the real deal.

At the beginning of this season, Lewis Hamilton had also embraced the idea of going silver again. He said, “When it goes back it will be a nice change.”
