From last place on the grid via P5 for the sprint to another five-place penalty that catapulted him to tenth place; Hamilton won the race on Sunday by 10 seconds over his rival. With the national colors on the lid, Hamilton got out of his car victoriously and pointed to his helmet: Still We Rise.

4. When F1 and NASCAR collide – Ricciardo in Austin

The American GP was an unforgettable experience for Daniel Ricciardo. Ricciardo was still running at the height of his Moza win and would reap the benefits of his famous bet with Zak Brown. Daniel Ricciardo was ready to drive in the car of his idol and NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt.

An excited honey badger already in love with the city of Austin dedicated his momentous weekend helmet to his idol. With a design influenced by Earnhardt’s lid itself. Dark and gorgeous – the lid was unforgettable.

3. George Russell’s homage to Sir Frank Williams

Ahead of the Saudi Arabia GP, the sport was received with the sad news of Sir William’s death. As a pioneer of the sport and the backbone of a championship team, Sir Frank has been an inspiration to many. This included George Russell, who found his first F1 home with the team.

So the Birt appropriately dedicated his lid for the weekend to the Maestro. The plain dark blue helmet was an ode to Sir Frank’s favorite color to keep it gloomy. He was also inspired by the helmet he used when driving through Silverstone with Lewis Hamilton. A perfect lid with the perfect meaning behind it.

2. The quaint Monaco lid from the McLaren duo

Hands down some of the best helmets of the season. Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris have hit the bull’s eye with every helmet they’ve customized this season, but Monaco is taking the cake. Hand in hand with the absolutely beautiful Gulf paintwork, the drivers were also inspired by the brand.

Robust and wonderfully orange, the helmets oh, so retro. Lando stuck to the Gulf colors, complete with old-school goggles on the front. Ricciardo, on the other hand, opted for a vintage McLaren font, the driving number of which is a reminder of the glory days.

1. Valtteri Bottas’ review of the F1 career at Mercedes

A brief conversation between the McLaren Monaco lids and this one, Bottas wins. With added points for creativity, the helmet for filling in the gaps of the Finn was both heartwarming and beautiful. Images of his time at Mercedes surrounded the helmet; From pictures of their first victory together to the last one in Turkey – the helmet was a clever trip back in time.

What gives Bottas the extra points, however, is that Valtteri sat down with Toto Wolff in a later video for Mercedes to solve the puzzle on the helmet. He later gave Wolff the helmet, a perfect ode to five years of fame.
