Brown mentioned that he long withdrew the deal with Seidl that if they win the race he would be on the podium and not the German.

I’m just glad I made a deal with Andreas: Zak Brown
As the Formula 1 reports, Brown was thrilled that he made a deal with a Seidl. He told a hilarious story about what the deal with Andreas was.
“Yeah, I mean, extremely proud. It’s all the men and women at McLaren, Andreas… our leadership team, and I’m just glad I got a deal with Andreas, ”said Brown.

“I made deals with the drivers – but Andreas and I made the deal, which means he gets all the work and the win, but I get to win the trophy. One of the best deals I’ve made! I’m always up for a deal, ”said Zak.

McLaren CEO praises the team principal for his leadership
Zak Brown went on to praise team principal Andreas Seidl’s leadership since joining the team in 2019. He said Seidl is very calm on the team and that is what they need at McLaren.

“Andreas is always very calm, which is great. I mean, that’s the kind of leadership you want in the Formula 1 team as he says a win and last weekend wasn’t very good so I think we need to stay on the ground. One victory after the other, ”he said.
