This weekend is French Grand Prix marks the start of the first triple header of the season for the McLaren F1 team it comes at an emotional time after we’ve lost a long-time key team figure and a shareholder Mansour Ojjeh. McLaren CEO, Zak Brown, was supposed to race himself this weekend but has withdrawn from the event to commemorate Ojjeh at the Grand Prix this weekend.

With Ojjeh in the minds and hearts of the team, the championship will also be relocated from the road back to conventional tracks at the French Grand Prix this weekend. McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl knows how important it is for the team to continue their strong momentum at a time when the opponents seem to be getting in shape, but also makes it clear that the team is racing in honor of Ojjeh this weekend.

“After the street circuits in Monaco and Baku, our focus is now on the first triple header of the season with the first race in France. As a team, we know what to expect from the requirements of a triple header and are well prepared for the task at hand. Maintaining a strong operational momentum with our reliability and parts management is a priority in overcoming the unique challenges posed by successive races. ”
