The laughter at the beginning of the video contrasts sharply with its calm end – a perfect representation of the weekend in the McLaren garage. What remains a knife in the heart, however, is the return of Lando Norris to the pits after the race on Sunday.

When Norris walked silently into his room with his helmet on, you can’t help but feel for the driver. Dejected, Norris slammed his door and took some time to recover before going to the media pen. Norris wiped the tears from his face and then left the garage.

The heavy atmosphere at McLaren just shows how much team sport F1 is. Norris’ grief is reflected just as intensely on the faces of his team members.
