With Mercedes downsizing their engines for future AMG products, this new Mercedes-AMG One Hypercar still has the goods even with a tiny 1.6-liter V6.

The F1 engined Mercedes Benz AMG-One hypercar making its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is quite an event and we must admit it looks gorgeous. Thanks to Goodwood Road & Racing YouTube’s Channel, we can admire the beauty of Mercedes’ latest and most innovative vehicle all while listening to the high-pitched notes blaring from the exhaust.
The Precision Of German Engineering
The video only lasts about a minute and a half and we begin with the Mercedes advancing towards the Goodwood Marshall who is luckily wearing noise-canceling ear muffs. With an F1 engine at the rear, this beast roars off the line with all the raging noises blasting past the marshall. The next scene is mere milliseconds after takeoff and we can already hear the car zoom past just as an F1 would. At this point, we can see the body’s shape which has obviously spent a lot of time in a wind tunnel to the perfect aerodynamics. It is very reminiscent of the Mercedes CLK-GTR or even a McLaren F1.
Mercedes German Racing Colors

Mercedes racing colors come from a long line of international racing colors. Germany’s original racing colors were bare aluminum or silver. This is a very important tradition to Mercedes as they still use this today. With a base color of silver, there are many black accents on the car which include the front and rear cowls and intake, the many diffusers, and the entire rear of the car which dissolves from the silver to black. The incredibly massive single dark exhaust tip and black tail lights make the rear end seem as if it is all one giant piece. The last thing we can notice is the teal-colored side stripe which is a shout-out to the Mercedes F1 car colors of today.
Hunkering Down For Race Mode

At the 30-second mark in the video, the car comes to a stop. As the spectators begin snapping pictures the car drops lower, air vents open over the front wheels, and a massive spoiler rises. The car takes off again now making much more F1-style noises with staggering revs in the lower rev range. Once in the normal rev range the car howls and grips every corner with no body roll whatsoever. We assume the driver is driving a little conservatively given the rarity and cost of the vehicle but we thank Mercedes-Benz AMG for bringing this out and showing the world what they can really do.
