With its logo prominently on the team’s cars, racing suits and hats, the Spanish financial giant becomes one of the team’s premium partners.
It will also support the team’s efforts to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Santander previously worked in Formula 1 from 2007 to 2017 and spent eight seasons with the Italian team.
It joined McLaren with the arrival of Fernando Alonso in 2007, before joining Ferrari with the Spaniard in 2010, though its UK branch kept liaison with the Woking-based team through its work with Jenson Button.
The bank also took on title sponsorship of several races over the years, including the British Grand Prix from 2007 to 2014 and the Spanish GP from 2011 to 2013.

The announcement came after it became known that Philip Morris International’s Mission Winnow campaign could step down from the team’s title partner.
The full Mission Winnow branding has been used over and over since 2018.
The team ran without it for 2020 before a new green logo and wording reappeared in early 2021, but it was removed for EU races.
When asked whether Mission Winnow with its stickers on the car would remain title sponsor next year or not, Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto said: “We are still in talks with PMI.
“It is very likely that the PMI will remain [but] maybe not as the title sponsor. So maybe let’s see.
“It may depend on what you mean by Mission Winnow, from the car or not.
“You mentioned stickers, so we’re discussing rights. It will be announced when we’re ready.”
