Replacement McLaren F1 GTR bumper and wheels you need are for sale

Replacement McLaren F1 GTR bumper and wheels you need are for sale

Only 28 copies of the McLaren F1 GTR exist. If you are one of the lucky few private owners of the racing version of the most iconic car of the last 30 years, you already know that spare parts are running out as a result. Fortunately, two memorabilia sales solved your problem.

Both parts come from chassis # 06R, the Harrods Mach One Racing car that finished third at Le Mans in 1995. You may remember # 06R as the car McLaren compared to a similarly painted P1 GTR in 2015, but it’s best known as a four-time winner in the short-lived BPR Global GT Series. The car has long since been converted into a street car, but a set of wheels and a racing bumper live from its heyday as a GT racer are for private sale.

The bikes will be auctioned directly by RM Sotheby’s. They are in fair condition, but as any discerning F1 GTR owner knows, it is almost impossible to find a good set of F1 GTR-specific Speedline wheels in every condition. The auction is offered without reservation, with RM Sotheby’s estimating a final sale price between $ 2400 and $ 3600 before shipping from Germany.

Even rarer is the replacement rear bumper, which is still wrapped in Harrods yellow, that of No. 06R is worn as a racing car. Infinitous has this bumper with original taillights for $ 28,000, but an F1 GTR rear bumper isn’t everywhere. Years of historic racing and road use have taken their priceless McLaren their toll, leaving you with one component in “racing” condition.

Of course, if you somehow didn’t have an eight-digit McLaren F1 GTR, both the wheels and the bumper would make up some of the most precious and unique racing memorabilia imaginable. They might not be enough for an F1 to F1 GTR conversion, but auto conversation starters don’t get that much more unique.
