Piastri received Alpine F1 rookie test opportunity in Abu Dhabi

The test, which uses popular cars and tires, will run alongside a two-day test for racers on the final 18-inch tires in 2022.

While not all teams have officially announced their drivers for the rookie test, a full list is taking shape.

Piastri, who is slated to do sim work next year and currently has no other racing program, will be making his first outing in a current F1 car after doing private tests on an older model on multiple tracks.
