Oppo is working on a classic, Kodak-inspired Find X3 Pro?

(Pocket-lint) – A recent leak claims Oppo is working on a new version of its flagship phone or – more specifically – it sounds like Oppo is making a special edition Find X3 Pro.

While many reports have speculated that Oppo and Kodak are working together on a phone, it doesn’t look like it in the original post.

Digital Chat Station – a regular leaker on Weibo – says a new version of an Oppo flagship is coming, with a design that pays tribute to a classic Kodak camera.

Translated into English with Google Translate, it says: “The new version of the Green Factory flagship is coming. The design pays tribute to Kodak, with a little hint with the picture. Other pictures are still classic 50 MP IMX766 dual main camera + 13 MP 2x Tele + 3MP microscope. “

The phone’s name isn’t translated correctly, but if you look at the list of sensors at the end of the post, it’s identical to the Find X3 Pro.

That suggests that rumor has it that Oppo is making a Find X3 Pro with a different design. That would certainly make more sense than Oppo working on the actual hardware in its phone with a long-dead camera company.

It could be a similar approach to what we’ve seen before with brand ties like Oppo’s Lamborghini and Barcelona Edition phones, OnePlus’s McLaren F1, JCC or Star Wars phones, and the latest Master Edition models by Realme.

These special editions are often limited or only available in selected markets. If this rumor is true, this could be similar here.

That, of course, is the crux of the matter. Until it’s officially announced, it’s only a rumor, so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet.
