McLaren’s preparation for the upcoming British Grand Prix was thrown into chaos afterwards Team boss Zak Brown and two others tested positive for the corona virus.
Fortunately for the team, the star drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo were not considered close contacts by either of them and will probably start at Silverstone.

For McLaren, who are hoping for third place in the constructors’ championship, it is still an unwelcome horror.
Norris caught the virus while traveling in Dubai in the off-season.
McLaren released a statement confirming the positive cases to reassure fans that their British GP would not be affected by the news.
“McLaren Racing today confirmed that three team members, including CEO Zak Brown, tested positive for COVID-19 during the team’s rigorous testing program ahead of the British Grand Prix,” it said in a statement.
“None of our drivers have close contacts.
“All three cases are unrelated and are now being isolated according to government guidelines.
“The operations of the British Grand Prix team will not be affected.”
After a very impressive start to the 2021 season, Norris is third in the drivers’ standings and can boast podium finishes in Imola, Monaco and the Austrian Grand Prix.
Australian star Daniel Ricciardo struggled to keep up with Norris’ performance in his first season at McLaren, was regularly overtaken by his much younger team-mate and struggled with his car.
Ricciardo is eighth in the championship, 20 points behind the Ferrari driver and his McLaren predecessor Carlos Sainz Jr.
Lando Norris ambushed during the chaos in the Euro 2020 final
McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris said he struggled to fall asleep after being mugged at Wembley Stadium in the European Championship final but hoped to concentrate fully on his home UK Grand Prix on Sunday .
The story goes on
The 21-year-old, who was stolen from a £ 40,000 ($ 74,444) watch in the London incident, has a large following and has made three podiums this season.
“I’m not in perfect shape, I’m not going to lie,” Norris told Sky Sports Television at Silverstone.
“There is still a lot to do mentally.

“Of course I talk about it a lot and mental health and mental strength are very important. I haven’t slept so well and so on.
“I don’t want to go into too much detail, but I’m grateful to be here.”
Norris, who is friends with some of the English players, said the final was the first football game he attended and ultimately not the nicest experience.
He said the time at Silverstone allowed him to think about other things.
“I’m sure I’ll be fine tomorrow,” he added.
