Lando Norris said he is going to the British Grand Prix and is still feeling the physical and mental toll of being mugged after the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
After the game, in which Italy beat England on penalties, McLaren F1 driver Norris posted a picture on Instagram wearing a Richard Mille limited edition watch that sold for over $ 100,000. This watch is said to have been stolen.
In the first statement on Monday, McLaren said the English driver was uninjured in the incident, but “understandably shaken”.
There have been numerous reports of violence following the Wembley Final. British police said 19 of their officers were injured while 86 people, including 53 at the venue, were arrested.
At Silverstone on Thursday, Norris said he was struggling to leave the incident behind and said he was still in pain.

“I’m fine. I’ve been better, I can tell,” Norris told Sky Sports. “I’m not in perfect shape, I’m not going to lie.
“Some work to be done … mentally. Of course I talk a lot about it, mental health, mental strength is very important. I haven’t slept so well and so on. Not ideal and I feel a little bit sore.
“I don’t know … I’m not the worst type of guy after Wembley and all that. I’ll work on it and make sure I’m better. I’m in the best possible shape. I feel like I still can go out and do the work I have to do. “
Norris will be driving in pre-qualifying practice on Friday afternoon, which precedes a revised weekend schedule that includes the very first F1 Sprint Qualifying Race.
Norris did not go into detail about how the incident unfolded.
“I guess just bad luck. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but I am grateful to be here. It’s not a nice experience for anyone, and it didn’t just happen to me, it happened to other people, I don’t wish that to anyone, and if someone else goes through it, I can sympathize with them and know how they feel.
“It’s tough. It’s been a tough few days to get over it and make sure I sleep well and everything. I’m not in perfect shape but I’m glad I’m here and I’m still healthy and reasonably fit. It’s been tough.” . “
