McLaren has stepped back – Daniel Ricciardo

According to Planetf1, McLaren had to break the nightly curfew to work on its transmission, which could be a reason for the loss of power.

For McLaren things looked as usual in FP1 as both drivers finished in the top 10. But in the afternoon session, when the track temperature rose, Ricciardo and Norris struggled to hold the car and check their tires.
“The morning was fine, I think we got off to a good start,” said the Aussie. “The afternoon was a little more difficult, we’re still not sure why we lost the pace.
“The track has changed a little, I know the track temperature has risen by almost 10 ° C, so that certainly has a small impact on the balance. But yes, we seem to have taken a step back and the others a step forward, ”said Ricciardo.
When asked if the car’s sudden loss of power worries the unconfident Aussie, “I’m not worried, but we’re definitely going to take a look at this tonight and try to understand and come out tomorrow and show how fast we are did that tomorrow, ”said Daniel.
