The ultimate auto garden party, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, is back! And besides, we will be there. Last year’s summer just wasn’t the same without our beloved festival, but there’s no risk of it in 2021 as it makes its much-anticipated return. Granted, you won’t be able to get the unprecedented access you had in previous years while we try to keep everyone safe by following some key rules. But apart from a few extra meters, a face mask or two, and liters of hand sanitizer, it won’t be much different. And besides, who wants to get that close to a sweaty Lando Norris or Daniel Ricciardo after completing a buttock run on Goodwood’s famous hill?
So what do we have in store for you on this unprecedented weekend?
Well, as mentioned earlier, Lando and Daniel will be there. Daniel will be behind the wheel of the MP4 / 5B on Saturday, Lando will take over the driving duties on Sunday and both of them will take part in many live interviews throughout the weekend.
What is special about the MP4 / 5B, you ask? It’s the car that took Ayrton Senna to his second Drivers title and McLaren to his sixth Constructors’ title in 1990, that’s something! So don’t be surprised that the MP4 / 5B will also be in use on Friday.

Two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi – the man with whom we won our first F1 titles in 1974 – will be there on Saturday and drive the successor to the MP4 / 5B, the MP4 / 6, the Sennas and the title win of the Teams resumed in 1991.
Do you want more McLaren F1 goodness? We’ll be exhibiting the MCL35 and you can get up close and personal with the all-conquering MP4 / 4 driven by Senna and Alain Prost.
But that’s not all, our friends at McLaren Automotive bring a wealth of exotic automobiles with them, including the McLaren GT, 765LT Coupe, P1, Elva and the painfully beautiful Artura. Even Emmo’s masterful M23 will be on display. Our McLaren Gulf livery will also be on display at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix.
