Developed under license from the McLaren Formula 1 racing team, the new upcoming LEGO Technic F1 model has been teased on social feeds today. Although none of the cars – neither the actual F1 car nor the LEGO replica – can be seen, it’s safe to say that the new LEGO product will be executed at at least 1:12 scale. Given the size of the model, we’re anticipating a mintage of no fewer than 1,000 with a price tag to match.
LEGO tweeted that the reveal will be “soon”. It is important to remember that the 2022 McLaren Formula 1 car will be unveiled on February 11th, exactly one week from today. Assuming the new LEGO set is based on the new vehicle, it will make a lot of sense to showcase both cars at the same time.

If you want to be among the first to see the new Technic set, you should either follow The Brothers Brick on your social media of choice (Twitter, Instagram or Facebook) or DM McLaren’s Lando Norris, who seems to know more than us to do!
