Lando Norris has been in great shape since the start of the season and even made it onto the podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix when he finished third. Eric Boullier, former McLaren race director, therefore believes the 21-year-old can be a future world champion.

The 21-year-old showed great pace during the Qauli sessions and competed in great races on Sunday in which he won crucial points for the Woking-based team to help them with the constructors.
Norris is currently fourth in the drivers’ standings with 41 points. The young British driver wishes for a better result at the upcoming Monaco GP.

The former McLaren racing director sees Lando Norris winning the title in the future
Boullier told GPbog, as quoted by PlanetF1, “You have to see what he’s done in the junior categories to understand that he’s F1 material. I think you can only see them mature in F1 and then you can see if it’s world championship material, which is different. “

“Norris has won everything under F1 and is developing very well compared to Ricciardo. Not just in one lap, but also in the races, with tire management. He is doing very well and could be an F1 champion in the future, just like Max [Verstappen]. ”
Seidl also believes that Norris can be a future champion
Andreas Seidl, team principal of the team based in Woking, also trusts his young driver that he too could become world champion in the near future. He was impressed with his development in the three years that he was at the start and that he has what it takes to be at the top.
Seidl said: “I think it’s impressive on Lando’s side to see the development he has shown over the past three years. It’s impressive to see what he’s doing this year and I think if he develops like this as a driver and as a person, in a few years he will have everything it takes to be a top driver in Formula 1 . ”

“I think being a world champion is a different story. It’s always difficult to predict. You have to be in the right car at the right moment and make it as a driver 23 times a year and not only [a few] Times, ”he concluded.
