Doug DeMuro unveils his all-time favorite hypercar, despite a serious drawback

With breathtaking performance, a futuristic exterior design and revolutionary amenities, the McLaren Speedtail is one to last. Doug DeMuro just uploaded an in-depth review of the hypercar showcasing its quirks, features, and driving experience.

“This is the McLaren Speedtail and my favorite hypercar. That says a lot because there are a lot of hypercars these days and I’ve been lucky enough to drive most of them, but these are the ones I’m looking forward to the most, ”revealed DeMuro.

The McLaren Speedtail is unlike anything seen, even among Supercar. It’s no ordinary hypercar either. It has over 1,000 horsepower and costs a whopping $ 3 million. Also, only about a hundred of these cars are available worldwide. It is an extremely rare car!

The Speedtail hypercar is not available for sale in the US

The McLaren Speedtail is the latest from McLaren in a line of ultimate McLarens. It is the fourth after three famous cars; the P1 McLaren, the McLaren Senna and the McLaren F1.

“Aside from the F1, this is probably what makes it special for a number of reasons. They only make a little more than a hundred Speedtails for the whole world, but this car has three seats too, ”said DeMuro.

The McLaren Speedtails has over 1,000 horsepower and will also reach 250 mph, making it the fastest McLaren ever. The McLaren Speedtail is also not available in the USA. This particular McLaren Speedtail, which is being reviewed by DeMuro, was imported under a special law known as the “Show or Display Rule”.

The interesting thing about the McLaren Speedtail is that it has no side mirrors due to the aerodynamics. Instead, it comes with fold-out cameras that act as mirrors – one reason why it’s not road legal in the US. There are no sun visors for this hypercar either. Instead, it has an electrochromic glass panel that can be dimmed or brightened if necessary.

The McLaren Speedtail also has two luggage compartments, a surprisingly spacious rear cargo area and a front trunk. Since the McLaren Speedtail has no side mirrors, the front indicators are located in the front wheel arch.

The McLaren’s gears are mounted on the roof of the vehicle, which is strange, but considering that all three seats are positioned almost on the same line up front, it does the job. The driving modes of the hypercar are also located here; Comfort and sport. There’s also a blue button that says “Velocity” that puts the car in speed mode. It’s the mode you want when you want to go 250 mph.

The McLaren Speedtail has the same 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the McLaren 720s

The McLaren Speedtail comes with a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 from the McLaren 720s. The only difference in this car is; It makes more power. The Speedtail puts out 746 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, that’s 36 horsepower than the McLaren 720S.

The McLaren Speedtail also has an electric motor. With the extra horsepower, the Speedtail puts out 1,055 horsepower and around 850 pound-feet of torque. It does 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 mph.

Finally, DeMuro takes the McLaren Speedtail for a spin and is thoroughly impressed with its performance. However, he doesn’t hesitate to say how much he hates the car for not having a rear window.

“This is probably the best driving hypercar I’ve ever driven. Not only is it incredibly easy to use, just like everyone else, it’s not only incredibly fast, but also spacious and beautiful, and relatively practical. You can bring three people in here. What a cool car! ”DeMuro confessed.
