Ricciardo, speaking to Fitzy & Wippa, was asked if he knew about Styles being a fan.

hey saidIt’s hilarious. I was pretty stoked. We have a mutual friend…when that picture came out, the mutual friend said it’s funny this didn’t get picked up earlier because Harry wears this all the time.

When asked how many times the two have met, he said, “Look I want to lie with you and tell you we’ve met heaps of times and had a couple of beers, but I haven’t met him yet.”

The two haven’t even spoken on the phone, said Ricciardo. Hey added, “It kinda makes it even cooler that he’s a fan even before meeting him, alright!”

It is good to know that Styles is one of many fans who stand behind the Australian, who has officially announced the termination of his contract with McLaren.

“I’ve accepted that I’m not going to do everything — or my team’s not going to do everything — just to put me on the grid if it’s not right or it doesn’t make sense.”

“This has been challenging, and if I am on the grid I want to know that it’s a place that I can enjoy it and feel like I can thrive, like an environment I feel like I can thrive in,” he said.
