“Adopt or Reject” – Former Lotus and McLaren Team Principal Eric Boullier likes the idea of F1 sprint qualifying races and wants them to happen in all venues from next season.
Sprint qualification races will be tested at three Formula 1 venues this season. This is largely supported by Eric Boullier, who is now the race director of the French Grand Prix.

Boullier, who is also known as one of the captains of the now defunct FOTA, would like the FIA to run such races at all venues if the experiment works this season. The French engineer spoke to Auto Hebdo:
“I think they’re a good idea because every experiment is worth trying.
“F1 has long wanted to change the historic format of its weekends. The subject is very sensitive because it directly touches the DNA of the discipline and I appreciate the maturity with which the dossier is handled.
“I like the approach of testing instead of jumping into the unknown, but if it is to be adopted this new format should be applied to all rounds. We’re working on a world championship where the rules have to be the same. When it is time to assess the situation, we must either accept it or reject it.
“Although all Grand Prix have their own identity, their own culture, their own color, the audience sees Formula 1 first, it is the queen of the show.”
