
For Yuki Tsunoda, tenth place in the British Grand Prix was a very special point. He was the only driver with a Honda engine who could score points at the Grand Prix.
Verstappen also scored points, but not at the Grand Prix
Tsunoda had a tricky sprint race that forced him to start from 16th for Sunday’s Grand Prix. The AlphaTauri driver got off to a strong start and after twenty laps the Japanese was in twelfth place. In the end he was able to improve to tenth place. The only point for Honda of the race, although Max Verstappen was able to add three more after the sprint.
“I am very happy with this point,” Tsunoda told F1.com. “Yes, the other format makes it a little difficult for me this week – free practice and straight into qualifying, something I’ve never had in Formula 1 at Silverstone.

New format difficult for beginners
According to Tsunoda, the new format will be difficult for the rookies as they will have to get used to the car the most. In addition to the Japanese, Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin, both Haas F1 drivers, also switched from Formula 2 to Formula 1.
