Formula 1 recently announced the calendar for the 2022 season. And as expected, a record 23 races will be held there. The sport also tried to host 23 races in the 2021 season, but due to travel restrictions in certain countries it was forced to reduce the season to 22 races. While fans are happy that the sport will have 23 races, ex-F1 driver Romain Grosjean was a little upset after the announcement.

Grosjean currently drives the IndyCar series in the US but continues to race F1. He used social media to express his disappointment as several F1 races will clash with the IndyCar races.
“Monaco and Indy 500 on the same weekend and the French GP on the same weekend as Iowa, ”tweeted the former Haas rider.
It is pure coincidence that the French GP and the Iowa race meet. But the Indy 500 and the Monaco GP had already clashed before.
Previously, Fernando Alonso had to miss the Monaco Grand Prix in 2017 as he competed in the Indy 500 race on the same day. Jenson Button, his former teammate, replaced him in a one-off appearance.
