Mick Schumacher would benefit from a better teammate who can help him move the Haas team forward, says Ralf Schumacher.
After a completely unrivaled performance by Haas in the 2021 season, Mick Schumacher scored zero points in his rookie year together with his teammate Nikita Mazepin.
However, Ralf Schumacher seems unimpressed by Nikita Mazepin’s first season at Haas. “Mazepin was definitely a good driver in Formula 2,” said Ralf at the end of Mazepin’s rookie campaign. But this year he has developed in the wrong direction and should actually be doing something different. “
Last test, last session this year with the team. It’s been an incredible year of learning and growing with the best group of people. Thank you @ haasf1team, I’m so looking forward to our next season together

“He doesn’t necessarily have to drive Formula 1,” he added. Additionally, Schumacher believes Mazepin didn’t help his nephew during his rookie season in F1. He wishes Mick had someone with more experience to learn from.
“He needs someone who can help him. Someone who can work with him to bring the team forward so that Mick is not alone on the run, ”continues Schumacher.

Mick Schumacher needs better machines to work with In an underdeveloped car
Mick joined the Haas F1 team in the 2021 season. It was already known that the car was unlikely to ever give them a chance to compete for points on a regular basis.
Nonetheless, Mick managed to survive Q2 in both the French and Turkish Grand Prix. The four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel also rated Schumacher’s job as “unbelievable”.
Mick’s uncle Ralf Schumacher meanwhile believes that Mick can only get 202 points if Haas provides him with better machines. He said, “It depends on what Haas gives him. Then it’s up to him[Mick] to implement it.
Mick Schumacher said he was comfortable in his position no matter how the season ends. “I have the feeling that we got the most out of the car. I have the feeling that we have improved with every event, ”said Mick.
