What happened to the Schumacher Jr. at Silverstone last weekend, after showing sheer dominance over every single Grand Prix weekend?
Well, apparently the German had quite a bit of tire management issues throughout the race. Mick was constantly careful to avoid overheating problems and therefore reduced his pace. And that led Mazepin to push a lot harder, which ultimately paid off.

What did Mick Schumacher say?
As reported by Speed Week, the Haas F1 driver announced that he would like to analyze the tire data of his teammate who managed to keep his tires under control throughout the race despite pushing them to the absolute limit .
Therefore Mick is aiming for a strong comeback on the Hungaroring next weekend, with the sole aim of defeating Mazepin in a one-on-one.

“It wasn’t an easy race,” said Mick. “Unfortunately we had a bit of problems with the tires. We tried not to overheat the tires on the first few laps. And it seemed like Nikita was pushing a little more, so he passed me.
“He still managed to keep his rubbers in the work window. We have to analyze that. We will have to learn our lessons from this in order to come back stronger in Budapest, ”added Mick.
Tried to learn from Vettel: Schumacher
Like his German colleague Mick, Sebastian Vettel had a disappointing race after an early spin in the race. The Aston Martin driver consequently found himself surrounded by Haas and Williams drivers whom he never found a way out of.
But Vettel’s downfall turned out to be a blessing for Mick, who followed his mentor to learn more about tire management. “I also saw that his race didn’t go according to plan, which is of course very unfortunate. That’s why I didn’t face him because I knew he was faster, ”he said.

“So I tried to take the chance to learn from him instead of blocking him.”
