Sebastian Vettel has a special relationship with Mick Schumacher. The four-time world champion even drove with Michael Schumacher in Formula 1 and after his skiing accident, the German often visited and spent time with Mick. Now both are driving together in the premier class of motorsport.
Meanwhile, Vettel lets his 22-year-old compatriot do his own thing for the most part. “He is a sensible, good-natured young man who is now ready to go his own way. He does that very well. His work ethic reminds me of his father. I wholeheartedly wish him a car that he can make more of a statement next year. “
Vettel helps Schumacher
Nevertheless, the Aston Martin driver tries to help his good friend Schumacher whenever possible. “You’re always there for friends. That’s why I have no competing thoughts on him and I am happy to pass on my experience, “says Vettel. “I’m not the type to be paranoid about everything to gain my own advantage and play games anyway.”
Schumacher will start his second season in Formula 1 in 2022. Ferrari added him to the Haas F1 team, where he should be prepared for the essentials: races for the Scuderia. Vettel himself drove six seasons for the Maranello-based team, but did not achieve any great success. Nevertheless, he would definitely recommend Schumacher to switch to Ferrari.
