Haas will finally announce its line-up for 2022 in Russia

Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin will remain active for Haas in 2022. Günther Steiner cannot confirm this yet, but says that the announcement can be expected before the Russian Grand Prix.

Schumacher stays

Schumacher and Mazepin are both making their Formula 1 debuts this season and that was a notable decision by the American team. Two rookies on a team are not really common. Mazepin and Schumacher didn’t seem to get along very well either. They have had several incidents this season, including a collision in the last race that made Schumacher spinning.

However, Haas has no doubts that the two drivers will stay longer. The team has been focusing on the 2022 Formula 1 season since the beginning of this year and therefore does not blame the drivers this season. It should be a year of learning before the new car has to deliver results in 2022.
