The American-owned team, Haas, battled for pace all weekend at Paul Ricard. However, their breakthrough came in qualifying when Mick Schumacher moved into the second qualifying lap before the session was canceled after a fall with the red flag.

The team was happy to make their first Q2 appearance this season, but Schumacher’s incident resulted in teammate Nikita Mazepin being knocked out in the first round. So the team decided to use a meme that showed exactly what emotions they were going through.

At the French Grand Prix this weekend, Schumacher Jr gave his team a foretaste of Q2 this season. However, due to his fall, the session was interrupted, which resulted in Mazepin being knocked out in the first round.
Haas wrote: “Our first Q2 of the season! Somehow…”
Schumacher Jr. will see the red lights from 15th place on the grid, his best qualifying start so far this season. While his Russian team-mate will take eighteenth place on the grid.

Can the two rookies find the pace in Sunday’s race?
The two rookies did not get the desired start to their debut season. Both Schumacher and Mazepin have not yet made it into the top 10 of any race and have therefore not scored any points for themselves or their team.

However, the American-owned team has some hope in Mick for tomorrow’s race as this is the best start they have had so far.
The team hopes that both drivers can make full use of the car’s potential and score points in the seventh championship round.
