The Frenchman’s F1 career came to an abrupt end after a terrible crash at the Bahrain Grand Prix last season. On June 29, Grosjean will test the 2019 Mercedes winning car in Le Castellet, home of the French Grand Prix.
The Grosjean test will fulfill Mercedes boss Toto Wolff’s promise to let Grosjean end his F1 career on his terms. The 35-year-old talked about his recent interaction with Mercedes, where he was impressed by a simple experience with seat assembly.

Romain Grosjean reveals that Mercedes “told him everything”
Grosjean has a good reputation in Formula 1. Although he has spent his last 5 years in Formula 1 with Haas, the Frenchman has shown speed more than once.
While many may recall his career in terms of his falls, Grosjean has 10 podiums in his name. Although neither of them came with Haas, it shows the talent the Frenchman possessed as an F1 driver.
After visiting the Mercedes plant in Brackley, Grosjean was surprised that Mercedes was approaching him. He also underscores his astonishment at Mercedes’ openness as he prepares it for the test.
The Frenchman told Canal Plus: “The team opened every door for me and explained how every switch on the steering wheel works. I was happy and even surprised with this approach.
“I’m actually amazed at their openness. You told me everything. They said, ‘We’ll try everything. Everything will be like a racing weekend. “(H: t-PlanetF1)
