Signed with Haas for the 2021 season, Mick Schumacher has to deal with a car that won’t be in any condition this season to contend for points despite starting the year with confidence.
“I was with my father, I remember his reaction well.” Mick Schumacher explains La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We went to the kart track in Kerpen, we talked and he asked me whether racing was a hobby or something I wanted to take seriously.
“I made it clear to him that it was very serious and he and my mother always supported me in this decision.”
When asked what advice his father gave him, Mick explained his father’s words in the same interview.
“He told me that the most important thing is that I enjoy what I do” Mick added.
“Seeing how I put that into practice was very important to him. ‘If you love what you do, you will do well,’ he said to me.”
