F1 2021 Dutch Grand Prix: Mick Schumacher, Nikita Mazepin, Haas incident news

An angry Formula 1 star tore his teammate to pieces after a dust-up on the track sparked an official investigation between them.

Formula 1 star Nikita Mazepin attacked Haas team-mate Mick Schumacher after their dispute in the Dutch Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday evening.

Mazepin and Schumacher, the son of the legendary Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher, argue about who was to blame in the battle for track position at the end of the first qualifying.

That led to them blocking Aston Martin star Sebastian Vettel, who almost fell on them when he stormed into Turn 13 on the narrow Zandvoort track, reports The Sun.

It was one of many dramatic moments during qualifying, including Max Verstappen taking pole and Daniel Ricciardo’s McLaren team battling for pace.

Mazepin was furious after the race when the Russian driver claimed that Schumacher “intentionally” “damned” his last attempt in qualifying.

The 22-year-old said, “I’m really pissed off, to be honest.

“How the rules work in a Formula 1 team, one weekend you are the first car, the next weekend you are the second car. This weekend it was my turn to be the first car.

“I overtook the first car once at Imola when I was the second car and I got some nonsense from the team.

“And now it has happened to me for the second time that my team-mate overtakes me and then rams me into the traffic and then deliberately shits my last attempt in qualifying.

“So I’m not happy because if you do it once and you didn’t know it is fine, but if you do it twice, it is on purpose …

“There shouldn’t be such tension in the team, so I’m kidding.”

Schumacher, on the other hand, disagrees with Mazepin, claiming that he “did everything right”.

The 22-year-old German has remained cautious in his relationship with his Haas teammate, although both have had some nervous moments this year.

Schumacher replied: “From my point of view, I did everything right. It was discussed publicly on the radio.

“Of course you don’t hear that, but it was like that, so we’re both obviously in a situation that wasn’t great because the last corner wasn’t easy.

“Sebastian… is the last person I want to block on this grid, I’m very sorry, and so is Aston Martin. But we’ll try to do our best in the race tomorrow.

“Again, I think whatever happened before, it’s always different situations.

“I think there is no reason to complain in this case. I really don’t know what more to say. “

In the meantime, Dutch GP stewards have acquitted Mazepin, Schumacher and Vettel of any wrongdoing.
