Haas is on schedule to deliver his new car on time for 2021, but there is one problem and that is Ferrari’s engine. It can go into the country, but without engineers to install it.

Haas is building the car for the new season for the first time at the plant in Banbury, England. Usually the parts were sent to Italy from Banbury, but now that so many parts stay the same, it’s better to go the other way around. However, this creates a big problem.

According to Deutsche Auto, Motor und Sport, the parts of the new car are already ready and assembly of the VF-21 will start in early February. The car would then be ready for a test in mid-February, with everything on it. There is one problem, however, and that is the engine. It’s there, but the engineers are missing to install it.

No Ferrari engineers
To enter England now, you will have to be quarantined for two weeks. Team boss Günther Steiner is also stuck in America because of this. “If I wanted to go to the factory now, I would have to be in quarantine for two weeks. There are only exceptions for athletes, ”says Steiner. Mick Schumacher will therefore soon be allowed into the plant.
However, this poses a problem for Haas as the Ferrari engine can only be installed with the help of Ferrari engineers. You may not be able to help in Bahrain until the winter testing starts. A proper test before the winter test therefore does not seem feasible.
