“Both guys showed a solid performance” – Haas’ Günther Steiner

"Both guys showed a solid performance" - Haas' Günther Steiner

The Grand Prix of Austria finished a long triple header for the Uralkali Haas F1 Team, Mick Schumacher finished the eighteenth and Nikita Mazepin nineteenth in the second race of the Red Bull Ring.

Despite an early collision with Esteban Ocon, Schumacher had a quiet Grand Prix with very little action but still managed to outperform his teammate Mazepin. Mazepin also had a lonely race, but received a 32nd time penalty and three points more on his license after failing to brake on the last lap under double yellow flags.

Uralkali Haas team boss Günther Steiner if you can see how much your two drivers are learning, you can look forward to a short break before the next Grand Prix.

“It’s the end of our first triple header this year – so I think everyone is ready to go home and take a little break before we prepare for the next race. We performed well as a team throughout this series and of course we have a few more triple headers ahead of us this season.

“We will be well prepared, but it is tiring when you get involved. We had the expected result from today’s race. Both guys showed a solid performance, we just can’t do more at the moment. The learning is continuous and the drivers are getting better. “
