As the two struggled to improve the pecking order, Russell’s right front tire hit Carlos’ Ferrari, deviating from the track and losing several positions. However, the Williams driver came over the team radio to apologize to the Spaniard.

Then, after the sprint qualifying, the 23-year-old approached the Ferrari driver in Parc Ferme.

Can Sainz improve for tomorrow’s race?

The 26-year-old was optimistic about the sprint race on Saturday afternoon, as he had qualified in ninth place. However, after a slight collision with the Williams-Russell, who hit the gravel on the first lap of the race, those hopes soon went downhill.
