We are only a few hours away from the British GP at Silverstone, and Max Verstappen took pole position in yesterday’s sprint qualifying. The Dutchman defeated arch rival Lewis Hamilton in the seventeen lap race and started on the first grid.

Therefore, the Red Bull prodigy hopes to keep the Mercedes driver in the rearview mirror and achieve a victory for the team from Milton-Keynes. What about the rest of the grid? How do you look for the tenth round of the championship?

At the race at Silverstone, Verstappen secured the provisional pole position after winning the sprint race, while Hamilton will see the five red lights for P2. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas starts in third place in the second Mercedes and makes it into the front row for the British Grand Prix.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc is on P4, followed by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo’s McLaren. The two-time world champion Fernando Alonso starts the race in seventh place, while one of his fiercest rivals, Sebastian Vettel, starts the race in eighth place.

Esteban Ocon from Alpine and Carlos Sainz in the second Ferrari make the top 10. Pierre Gasly is in eleventh place, while George Russell starts his home race in twelfth place after receiving a three-place penalty for his incident with Sainz in yesterday’s race.
Veteran Kimi Raikkonen is on P13, followed by Lance Stroll in the Aston Martin. The Italian Antonio Giovinazzi starts in 15th place, followed by rookie driver Yuki Tsunoda in 16th place. Nicholas Latifi finds himself in seventh place.
The starting grid is rounded off by Mick Schumacher, Nikita Mazepin and Sergio Perez, who starts out of the pit lane because he had to give up his car due to damage in the sprint qualifying on Saturday.

Can Max collect maximum points at Silverstone?
The 23-year-old started yesterday’s race from second behind Hamilton. However, the Dutchman had an excellent start and soon led the field around Silverstone, winning the race and taking three points for himself and Red Bull.

From pole position for today’s race, Verstappen will certainly repeat his performance from Sunday and take 25 points with him. He will certainly hope to extend his lead in the title race against Briton Hamilton.
