What did Seidl say?
In an exclusive interview with RTL, Seidl revealed that McLaren had to fight with the offer until the final in Abu Dhabi.
“There is no further development of this year’s car,” he affirmed. Given how the scenario unfolds, Seidl is therefore certain that McLaren’s battle for P3 with Ferrari will stall.

“It was just important for us to get a lot of points – also compared to Ferrari. We want to fight for third place in the constructors’ championship until the last race. It will be a very close fight with Ferrari, ”added the German.
Of course, under normal circumstances, this news would not have been a big deal. But unlike McLaren, their rivals await a major engine development update in the coming weeks that could prove to be a big blow to McLaren.
