Good news for the Tifosi as F1 teases return to Ferrari base in Mugello

After two races in Italy this season, the Tifosi can again fly their Italian flags as Mugello could soon be a destination for the F1 circus. Adding a Ferrari Base to the Circuit? A more enthusiastic Italian audience.

Following the positive feedback from the Losail circuit, F1 would like to add another Moto GP circuit to their calendar. Even though F1 had a celebratory Tuscan GP in 2020, the circuit’s CEO is ready to give Formula 1 a permanent welcome.

In a recent interview, Paolo Poli said: “We should be able to follow the first Tuscan F1 GP under the conditions so that it becomes a structural event over time.”

While 2024 appears to be the likely year of launch, Poli is hoping to arrive earlier. “I hope to have success sooner. After months of great difficulties, Ferrari Mugello has accepted it again. “

The last Tuscan GP at the 1000th Ferrari F1 race

In 2020 it was a historic 1000th race for the jumping horses. So a race in Mugello was a fitting place for the race. Complete with red safety cars and a special Ferrari paint job, the race was all about Ferrari.

A three red flag race with lots of action cementing its place on the F1 calendar would be an exciting move. A breathtakingly fast track that was a challenge for the drivers last time.

While it was an exciting prospect for Ferrari fans, the race wasn’t the best for the team. Leclerc and Vettel fight for points throughout the race; a bad qualifying ultimately dominates a bad race.

However, the last race at Mugello was as intense as anything the sport has seen in a long time. Now prepared for the collision with several cars from last year, F1 is sure to have a good time on yet another Italian circuit.
