Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz is a big-time golf enthusiast. The man from Spain never misses an opportunity to grab the golf club and head for any golf course he gets nearby circuits for some golf. On one occasion, Sainz took advantage after he was done with his race in Mexico.

As soon as the race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez got over, the Ferrari driver was quick to use this opportunity to spend time playing the game he loves. The man from Madrid didn’t miss the chance to visit Riviera Maya and enjoy a great day of golf at El Camaleón Golf Course.

The former McLaren driver played some golf with American pro golfer Tony Finau and shared some light chats. While in the game, Sainz played a brilliant shot and Finau was quick to point out in the video posted by the PGA tour on their official Instagram account, “Girlfriend shows up dude and he just… Dude, all of a sudden man.” The duo shared some good game and laughter, and the golfer wished all the very best to the driver for his upcoming endeavors.
Sainz, who’s pretty good with his golf, has showcased his skills at Mayakoba, where the PGA Tour’s WorldWide Technology Championship was slated to take place. Sainz often uses his free time in golf with fellow F1 drivers such as Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, or Alexander Albon.
Carlos Sainz wished to make things a bit more complicated for Max Verstappen
The Ferrari driver recently revealed what his intentions should have been at the beginning of the season. As Verstappen picked up his second world title after the win in Japan, things were too easy for him this year. On this, Sainz believes he wanted to make things a bit more complicated for him.

In a report published by The Race, the Spaniard stated, “I wish now that I would have felt a bit more comfortable at the beginning of the season to make things a bit more complicated for Max.” Sainz who had a difficult 2022 season with multiple crashes and DNFs wished to be more relevant against the Dutch driver.
The Ferrari driver, who stands in P6 in the driver’s standings currently with 212 points, is hopeful of a bright 2023 season. As Sainz has already set his target, he revealed, “My target for next year is to start at the level that I am at now, which is a pretty decent level, and make things more complicated for Max.”
