Starting the race from P14, the Aston Martin driver provided the perfect escape route. As a result, he found himself in an intense battle for points after climbing the field and finishing in P8.

At one point in the race, Stroll unknowingly raced through the turbulent air created by a helicopter overhead. This caused massive vibrations on the Mercedes-powered car, which left Stroll with a lot of worries on his mind.

The Canadian immediately feared that it had something to do with his tires and turned to his race engineer. For a brief moment, however, his com didn’t work either, and fingers pointed at the helicopter again.

Eventually, however, he received a positive response from his engineer. And then Stroll realized that it had something to do with the helicopter.

Radio exchange between Stroll and his F1 racing engineer

After the massive vibrations, Stroll picked up his team radio and said: “Check car”.

His race engineer replied immediately: “All tires are good. Tires are all good. “

Stroll couldn’t hear what his race engineer was saying after noticing the helicopter in the air. The Canadian clarified: “I think it could have been the helicopter that sank really deep. I can not hear you.”

That was it for Stroll in the end. “Then it’s the helicopter that landed really low,” said the Aston Martin driver, ending his short radio conversation with the team.

Overall, it would have been a very disappointing weekend for Aston Martin at the home Grand Prix when Sebastian Vettel got off the track at the start of the race.

Fortunately, Lance Stroll rose to the occasion when he saw the checkered flag on P8 and presented his team with the much-needed four points. So will the Aston Martin duo manage to deliver a double-point finish at the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix?
